CHICAGO, IL — The Ukrainian Women's Association of America (UWAA) is proud to announce its upcoming UWAA Fundraising Concert, taking place on November 13, 2026. The event will be an unforgettable evening of music, inspiration, and philanthropy dedicated to supporting vulnerable children affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine.
A Night of Music and Philanthropy for Ukraine
The concert will be headlined by internationally acclaimed Ukrainian singer Zlata Ognevich, who is partnering with UWAA for the second time to raise funds for this vital cause. Known for her powerful voice and deep compassion for the children of Ukraine, Zlata's return marks a continued commitment to providing life-saving aid to those who need it most.
Honoring Humanitarian Leadership
The evening will also feature a special appearance by Marta Levchenko, the visionary founder of the "Misto Dobra" (City of Goodness) charity and the "Butterfly House" pediatric palliative center in Ukraine. Recently awarded the prestigious 2026 Ellis Island Medal of Honor in New York for her exceptional humanitarian work, Levchenko has built a comprehensive ecosystem of care that provides shelter, medical assistance, and psychological support for women and children in severe crisis.
A History of Impact in Chicago
This will be Levchenko's second visit to Chicago at the invitation of UWAA. Her first visit in September 2025 anchored the highly successful "From Darkness to Light" fundraising event at the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, which raised $50,000 for City of Goodness. That profoundly moving evening featured an art gallery and a children's fashion show highlighting garments sewn by mothers in the Misto Dobra "Mama Shuye" vocational school. The event also served as a solemn tribute to Sonya, a young girl who tragically lost her life to eye cancer after her medical treatment was interrupted by the war.

"This concert is an invitation to our community to experience a truly inspirational evening of music and unity. Every ticket purchased and donation made during the November 13 concert will go directly toward providing essential care, shelter, and medical support to children and families at City of Goodness.
