Providing a permanent sanctuary and comprehensive care for displaced families and orphans.
Building Safe Havens
We directly fund the construction of physical shelters to house children evacuated from active combat zones in Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson. We ensure displaced orphans have a permanent, secure place to call home when wartime crises overwhelm local resources.
Sustaining Daily Nutrition
UWAA contributes critical funding to help feed up to 500 victims of war every day. This support helps provide reliable meals for 320 displaced women and children, plus highly specialized, life-saving nutritional diets for 70 terminally ill kids in pediatric palliative care.
Emergency Power & Winterization
We fund essential diesel fuel for heavy-duty generators during winter power grid failures. This ensures continuous, uninterrupted electricity for the life-sustaining medical equipment keeping terminally ill children alive.
Funding Independence for Mothers
We built the “Mama Sews” Academy (Mama Shuye) on-site, providing free vocational training that empowers single mothers and domestic abuse survivors to gain financial independence.
Animal Rescue & K9 Therapy
Our dollars go to an on-site humane shelter that houses 60 dogs evacuated from war zones. These rescues are integrated into K9 therapy programs, offering vital emotional support to traumatized children.

100% Privately Funded: City of Goodness relies entirely on private donations and receives no government aid. With the war destroying the local Ukrainian businesses that once sponsored them, international donations are now a lifeline keeping this sanctuary running.

Yuliana's Fight Against Bone Cancer
After six rounds of chemotherapy shrank her pediatric bone cancer, 14-year-old Yuliana required a 24-hour surgery and a $7,000 custom hip prosthesis to walk again. In a single week, our community raised the exact funds to provide this critical prosthetic, transforming her life.

Pediatric Spinal Surgery Relief
After discovering tumors on his spine, 9-year-old Sashko needed an 8-hour pediatric neurosurgery. To make the operation possible, UWAA donors stepped in to fully fund the critical surgical consumables—including a spinal fixation system and specialized electrodes. This direct medical aid ensured his timely, successful surgery and a renewed chance at life.

Facing a complex 7-hour pediatric brain surgery, Viktoria urgently needed specialized surgical consumables to ensure a safe procedure. UWAA fully funded the $3,300 required for these critical medical materials, delivering direct pediatric relief and ensuring a successful, life-saving operation.
Life-Saving Medical Equipment
We fund specialized surgical consumables—including BROVIAC catheters and laparoscopic tools—for St. Nicholas Children's Hospital in Lviv, enabling minimally invasive brain surgeries and faster recoveries.
Continuous Cancer Medications
Pediatric cancer requires strict adherence to treatment schedules. UWAA funds uninterrupted access to life-saving medications so no child's recovery is delayed by financial hardship.
Advanced Diagnostics Abroad
Oncology tests once paid for by hospitals are no longer funded by the state due to the financial toll of the war, and many hospitals are being forced to close. In response, we help cover the costs of sending pediatric oncology lab samples to international clinics, giving Ukrainian doctors the precise diagnostic data required to save lives.
Targeted Patient Funding
For families unable to afford complex oncology treatments, we launch targeted fundraising campaigns to cover the specific, urgent medical needs of individual children.

Partnership in Action: Volodya's First Steps
Collaborating with the Protez Foundation to restore mobility and hope for Ukrainian youth.
Born with atrophied lower limbs in the Dnipropetrovsk region, 10-year-old Volodya spent his entire childhood moving on his hands and knees. After the necessary amputation of both lower legs, he needed specialized pediatric prosthetics to ever walk upright. UWAA proudly partnered with the Protez Foundation to help raise the critical funds needed for his care. Through this collaborative effort, Volodya traveled to Minneapolis, where he stood tall, took his very first steps on training prosthetics, and experienced the incredible joy of walking upright for the first time in his life.
